Dec 12, 2025 | Workshops

On 11 December 2025, the INNO2MARE project was presented at the First International Workshop on Computational Methods for Intertwining ESG with Twin Transition, hosted by the Università Politecnica delle Marche in Ancona, Italy.

The workshop, organized by Prof. Giacomo Di Tollo, brought together international experts from Slovenia, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and Estonia to explore emerging methods and perspectives connecting ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles with the Twin Transition—the combined digital and green transformation of industry and society.

INNO2MARE Contribution

INNO2MARE was represented by dr. Marko Šimic from the University of Ljubljana, who delivered a presentation titled:

“Twin Transition and the Rise of Intangible Value: Lessons from INNO2MARE R&I Pilot Projects.”

His contribution highlighted how the project’s research and innovation pilot activities address key components of the Twin Transition, emphasizing intangible value creation, knowledge transfer, and cross-regional collaboration. The presentation demonstrated how INNO2MARE supports the development of resilient, innovation-driven ecosystems in the Adriatic region.

A Platform for Exchange and Collaboration

The workshop featured presentations from multiple disciplines, from artificial intelligence approaches to ESG, to sustainable business models, maritime environmental monitoring, and corporate transformation. The event offered an excellent opportunity for INNO2MARE to share its findings and strengthen international connections with academic and industry experts.
