The progress on the Pilot study 1 of the INNO2MARE project was presented at the XI International Conference on Computational Methods in Marine Engineering – MARINE 2025 in Edinburgh, UK. The conference was hosted by the University of Edinburgh between 23 and 25 June 2026. Over the three days more than 150 papers were presented dealing with various aspects of marine engineering and naval architecture.

Prof. Goran Vukelić from the Faculty of Maritime Studies Rijeka, Croatia, presented a talk “Using CFD and VR to Model and Visualize Fire in the Ship Engine Room”. The talk concentrated on the results of Pilot study 1, dealing with the representation of CFD-analysed fire in the VR environment of a ship engine room for the benefit of improved maritime firefighting training.
