INNO2MARE will participate in the IRT ADRIA 2026 Industrial Forum, taking place in Zadar, Croatia, on 14 and 15 September 2026.
Project Coordinator dr. Marko Šimic from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, will present the INNO2MARE approach to scaling innovative maritime technologies from laboratory development to market uptake.
The presentation will be based on the article “Advancing Maritime Innovation through Digitalisation, Sustainability, and Autonomy: INNO2MARE Scale Up of Pilot Projects from Lab to Market”, prepared by researchers and partners involved in the three INNO2MARE pilot projects.
The article presents the project's scale-up framework, combining Technology Readiness Level (TRL) assessment, technical and commercial feasibility analysis, deployment planning, and scalability roadmaps. It highlights the three INNO2MARE pilots: a VR-based maritime fire evacuation training system, an AI-enabled digital twin for sustainable energy management and AI-supported technologies for autonomous shipping.
The presentation will explore how structured deployment and scalability strategies can help bridge the gap between promising research results and real-world market adoption.
We look forward to sharing INNO2MARE's results and exchanging knowledge and experiences with researchers, industry representatives and other innovation stakeholders at IRT ADRIA 2026.
