On 22 September 2026, BSC Kranj hosted a presentation of selected digital solutions for municipalities in the Gorenjska region, Slovenia. The event brought together innovative companies offering technologies to support the digital transformation of local communities.
Among the presented solutions was an intelligent energy monitoring, forecasting and optimisation system developed by Iskra and DIGITEH, building on their collaboration within the Horizon Europe INNO2MARE project.
The solution combines Iskra's advanced energy measurement and communication infrastructure with DIGITEH's expertise in digital twins, artificial intelligence and data analytics. It enables municipalities to monitor energy consumption, predict future demand, identify inefficiencies and optimise energy resources across public buildings and infrastructure.
The presentation highlighted the practical potential of the INNO2MARE solution beyond its initial pilot environment, demonstrating how project-related innovations can contribute to smarter, more energy-efficient and sustainable local communities.
