At CTC Rijeka from November 19th to 22nd, the Robotic arm workshop was held, in which eight young people from 15 to 30 years of age participated, primarily secondary school students and university students. The participants spent the first day of the workshop assembling the structure and devising the way in which the robotic arm could and should function. They spent the second and third days of the workshop assembling the electronics and connecting the motors that they later connected to the robotic arm on the last day, and stored the electronics in the control box.
By developing a robotic arm, they learned and perfected their knowledge of mechanics, electrical engineering, microcontrollers, sensors and the basics of digital electronics, and the robotic arm they made was functional.
The Robotic arm workshop is part of the INNO2MARE project funded under the Horizon Europe program, which unites 19 organizations from Croatia, Slovenia and Belgium in a series of activities aimed at the digital and green transition of the maritime sector, all with the aim of strengthening the capacity of the ecosystems of Western Slovenia and Adriatic Croatia for excellence in research and innovation.
