On September 24, the entrepreneurial incubator Kovačnica in Kranj hosted Revenue Day, an event that put the spotlight on the challenges and opportunities facing Software as a Service (SaaS) companies. The closed, invite-only gathering brought together founders, investors, and operators, offering participants honest stories, practical case studies, and reflections on what truly drives company growth.
The central theme of the afternoon was growth—from the early stages of R&D and product launch to building sales strategies that support global expansion. Speakers emphasized the importance of the right team and company culture when launching new solutions, as well as the common pitfalls that can quickly derail success.
Several discussions focused on the current challenges posed by artificial intelligence, which is rapidly changing the rules of product development, sales, and marketing.
A special focus was placed on the question of investment readiness. A panel discussion offered insights into how today’s investors view SaaS companies and what they expect from teams aiming for global growth.
The event concluded with lively networking, where participants had the chance to connect in a more informal setting and explore potential collaborations. The atmosphere confirmed that Slovenia’s SaaS scene is not only growing but also becoming increasingly aligned with international trends.
Revenue Day Kranj was financed as part of the Inno2mare project, under the Horizon Europe programme.
