In scope of our project, two workshops aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial and innovation skills were organized in February by our partner STEP RI science and technology park of the University of Rijeka. The activities brought together participants from academia, business, and the wider innovation ecosystem to develop practical competences relevant for transforming ideas into market opportunities.
The first workshop, “How to prepare a presentation of a product, company, idea or project?” was led by presentation expert Luka Krejči. The workshop focused on the strategic preparation of presentation content rather than the technical aspects of slide design. Participants learned how to structure clear and persuasive messages, apply storytelling principles, visually communicate key information, and present data effectively when pitching ideas or projects to partners, investors or decision-makers.
Later in February, the seminar “Transformation of products into services” introduced participants to the concept of servitization – a business approach in which companies expand their offer by integrating services alongside physical products. The workshop highlighted how organisations can create greater value for customers while generating more stable and predictable revenue streams. Participants also explored practical tools such as customer journey mapping to better understand user needs and design service-oriented business models.
By organising these workshops, the INNO2MARE project continues to support the development of entrepreneurial competences among students, researchers, entrepreneurs and other innovation actors. Such capacity-building activities contribute to a stronger regional innovation ecosystem and help bridge the gap between research, innovation and market application in the Adriatic region.
