The first phase of the free Bootcamp IT training programme was successfully implemented between 19 January and 18 March 2026 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana. The programme delivered intensive, weekday-based training, providing participants with a structured and high-quality learning environment.
Over the course of two months, participants acquired both foundational knowledge and practical skills in key areas of information technology. The curriculum focused on Python programming, databases, data structures and algorithms, web development, and the business applications of IT, with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning.
The primary objective of the programme is to enhance participants’ employability by equipping them with competencies required for entry-level positions in the IT sector, while also supporting pathways towards independent careers in the digital domain.
As part of the practical component, participants were divided into three groups and assigned two project-based tasks. These projects are designed to foster teamwork, problem-solving, and the application of acquired knowledge in real-world scenarios, with presentations scheduled in two phases.
The first round of project presentations took place at the end of March at Kovačnica, the entrepreneurial incubator in Kranj. Participants developed applications aimed at improving project management processes within organisations, with a focus on transparency, early risk identification, and informed decision-making. The solutions demonstrated a strong emphasis on usability, efficiency, and innovation.
All groups delivered high-quality results, each presenting a distinct and creative approach to the assigned challenge. The project work continues throughout April, during which participants further refine their solutions.
The second round of project presentations will be held at the end of April at Kovačnica, followed by a formal award ceremony where participants will receive certificates recognizing the completion of the programme and the title of Junior Developer.
