May 13, 2026 | Bootcamps

The lectures of the free educational programme Bootcamp IT began on 19 January 2026 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana. Classes were held every weekday. After two months of intensive learning and acquiring both fundamental and practical knowledge in the field of information technology, the lectures for participants concluded on 18 March 2026.

The intensive two-month training programme focused on developing practical skills in programming (Python), databases, data structures and algorithms, web development and programming, as well as business understanding of information technologies. The main objective of the programme was to prepare participants for entry-level positions in the IT sector or for an independent career path in the world of information technology.

During the lectures, participants were divided into three groups, and each group was assigned two project tasks that they had to develop and present. The presentations of the project solutions were carried out in two phases.

The presentation of the second project assignment took place at the end of April at Kovačnica, the business incubator in Kranj. The second project task involved creating a landing page for the Association for Technical Culture of Slovenia, clearly presenting the organisation’s mission, activities, and opportunities for cooperation. The requirements specified that the website had to be informative, visually appealing, responsive, simple to use, mobile-friendly, and intended for young people, mentors, and parents. Based on the knowledge acquired during the lectures and teamwork activities, the assignment included functional requirements (use of JavaScript), design requirements (use of CSS), and technical requirements (use of HTML).

All three groups approached the second project assignment and its final presentation with great dedication and professionalism. Each group prepared seriously for the presentation and introduced its own unique solution.

The programme concluded with a ceremonial awarding of diplomas for the title of Junior Developer. Nineteen participants successfully completed 350 hours of the free Bootcamp IT educational programme over a period of more than three months, from 19 January to 24 April 2026.
